If anyone has a similar story and wants to share what the outcome was, or if you think I should schedule another appointment with the hematologist to check out this new bump please let me know. By and large, children have weak immune systems and are prone to infections. The T cells and B cells replicate uncontrollably. Lymphoma, a cancer, may be the cause of supraclavicular lymph node swelling. I've had no recent illnesses that I know of and I'm in my young 20s. Supraclavicular lymphandenopathy is an important cause, wherein, the lymph nodes get enlarged, and also have a tendency to malignancy. I have no other symptoms except for a burning sensation in my stomach that I've had for a while, which my doctor said was due to acid reflux. It's not movable like the other swollen lymph nodes I had, and feels like it could even be part of the muscle itself but I can't tell.

I'm just nervous because I don't know if this is new or it's been there and I happened to just find it. It feels like it's behind the sternocleidomastoid muscle, and its difficult to even find unless I really press on the area. Last night, I ended up coming across a bump (possibly another swollen node) on the right side of my neck, higher up below my ear. Since my appointment, I've been feeling around to make sure I didn't have any other swollen nodes, stupid on my part but I have extreme health anxiety. A few days later, the swollen nodes near my collarbone decreased (they are still there, but smaller), which the hematologist said was a good sign. Everything looked okay and I even saw a hematologist that my doctor recommended. I called my doctor who sent me for a chest x-ray, blood test, and ultrasound of the area anyway.

After looking online, it seems like a bunch of people had a similar story of getting swollen lymph nodes near their collarbone or even under their arms on the side they received the tdap vaccine. I received a tdap vaccine that day high up on my left arm, and developed a swollen supraclavicular lymph node two days later. When I had my doctor's appointment end of July, I had her look at them and she said they were normal and probably wouldn't go down. I'm trying to figure out if I should be concerned or not.īack in April I noticed three pea sized moveable bumps along the left side of my neck.
